Privacy
Short version: I collect what I need to bake your order and nothing else, and you can ask me to delete it whenever you like.
What gets collected
- If you email or use a form: your name, email, phone if you give it, and whatever you tell me about your order.
- If you sign up for updates: your email address and the date you signed up.
- If you upload inspiration photos: those images.
- If you leave a review: the name you give (first name and last initial is plenty), your rating, whatever you write, and a photo if you add one. Reviews are not published automatically — I read every one first, and I only put up what you wrote and the name you gave. Ask me and I’ll take yours down, no reason needed.
- Everyone: anonymous visit statistics, meaning which pages were viewed and roughly where from. No cookies for advertising, no tracking you across other sites.
Who else touches it
The site runs on Vercel and stores data in Supabase. Visit statistics come from Vercel Analytics. Email is handled by the provider behind info@booksbakery.com. Each of these processes data on my behalf, not for their own purposes.
TODO: add the payment processor and transactional email provider once chosen (CLAUDE.md §9).
How long it's kept
Order records are kept as long as needed for recordkeeping; mailing list entries are removed as soon as someone unsubscribes. Reach out any time if you'd like something removed sooner.
Getting it deleted
Email info@booksbakery.com and ask. Every marketing email also has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing is honoured immediately.
Children
This site isn’t aimed at children and I don’t knowingly collect information from them.
