Ordering
What's always available?
Six cookies never leave: chocolate chip, boneless chocolate chip, lemon sugar, Biscoff cookie butter, sea salt caramel and snickerdoodle. Alongside those there are usually four or five rotating flavors that change with the season and with whatever I'm experimenting with.
I can't decide. What should I get?
The boneless chocolate chip. It's a chocolate chip cookie with the chocolate melted on the bottom instead of mixed through, nobody else is doing it, and it's the one that gets the biggest reaction. Also you'll have to explain the name to somebody within a day, which is half the point.
How far ahead do I need to order?
Custom orders need at least two weeks' notice. Pre-orders need one weeks notice.
Custom orders
What can you make besides cookies?
Cakes and cupcakes. I did a lot of decorating years ago with buttercream, and took proper classes for it. Also brownies, cinnamon rolls, cake pops, pies and bread. Birthdays, showers, school events, fundraisers, corporate things, picnics. Tell me the date and roughly how many people and I'll tell you what's realistic.
What's the deposit?
A 50% deposit holds your date, and the balance is due in full before your order leaves my hands. That will go towards your remaining balance. For custom orders over $250, the remaining balance is due 1 (ONE) week before delivery date. For custom orders under $250, the remaining balance is due 72 hours before pick up date.
What if I need to cancel?
Because custom bakery orders require advance planning, purchasing of ingredients and supplies, scheduling, preparation, and reserved production time, cancellations may result in the loss of some or all payments made. The 50% deposit is non-refundable once the order has been confirmed, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by the bakery. If a customer cancels an order after the bakery has purchased specialty ingredients, supplies, decorations, or other materials specifically for that order, the customer may be responsible for those costs in addition to the non-refundable deposit.Cancellations must be submitted directly to the bakery in writing. A cancellation is not considered received until the bakery acknowledges receipt. You may cancel your order and receive your 50% deposit back if it is within the first 24 hours of placing the order.
Refund policy
If I cancel my order, will I get a refund?
Because custom bakery orders require advance planning, purchasing of ingredients and supplies, scheduling, preparation, and reserved production time, cancellations may result in the loss of some or all payments made. A cancellation request can be submitted with a full refund of the deposit only within the first 24 hours of placing the order. If a customer cancels their order after that 24 hour window and before the remaining balance due date, they will receive their 50% deposit back. If a customer cancels after the remaining balance has been paid and it's before the agreed-upon pick-up/delivery date, they will not receive a refund.
Pickup & delivery
Where do I pick up?
Pickup is arranged per order that is under $250, and I'll confirm the details when your order is ready. I bake in a commercial kitchen on a working farm, which isn't set up for visitors.
Do you deliver?
Locally, yes, around Palisade and the surrounding area for orders over $250. I'll confirm what works when we sort out your order.
Food & allergens
How long will the cookies stay good for?
Our cookies are individually wrapped and heat sealed. Most will last over 10 days; however, we think it is best to freeze them if they will not be consumed the week you receive them. Frozen they will last well over 2 months!
What about allergies?
Everything is made in one kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts, so I can't promise anything is free of traces. If you have a serious allergy, talk to me directly before you order and I'll be straight with you about what's possible.
